No. 7 Allen (Texas) ran its winning streak to 45 games, third longest in the nation, with a 56-20 victory against visiting Viera (Fla.).
A week after Mitchell Jonke posted five touchdown passes at quarterback, the Eagles were led by Seth Green, who threw for 201 yards and three touchdowns. He also ran for 52 yards and two touchdowns. Green saw limited action in the season opener.
Jonke started the game and scored an early rushing TD and led Allen on a drive for a field goal, but Green then came in. Jonke finished 5-for-8 passing for 41 yards with an interception. He also ran 10 times for 31 yards.

Kirby Bennett ran for 113 yards on 12 carries and receiver Lionell McConnell had receptions of 72 yards and 36 yards for his two catches. He also returned a kickoff 86 yards.
Allen led 20-0 before Viera (1-1) got on the scoreboard.
After opening the season with two victories, the Eagles begin district play next week with a home game against McKinney Boyd.
