Swanigan, Bryant named All-American by MaxPreps


Newly-named IndyStar Indiana Mr. Basketball Caleb Swanigan was namedsecond team All-American by MaxPreps on Friday.

The 6-9 Swanigan, who is on track to announce his college decision on Saturday at the Hoop Summit in Oregon, led Homestead to the Class 4A state championship this season.

Ben Simmons, a 6-9 LSU recruit, was named MaxPreps Player of the Year.

Thomas Bryant, a 6-10 Indiana recruit, was named fifth team All-American by MaxPreps. He averaged 17.3 points, 11.6 rebounds and 4.5 blocked shots per game for Huntington Prep this season.
