A pair of Midstate schools are in search of new head coaches after the current coaches resigned their positions on Wednesday.
Sycamore is seeking a head football coach as Tyler Williams stepped down after four years at the helm.
Williams led the War Eagles to a 17-25 record in his four years as coach, but finished with back-to-back 2-8 season the last two years.
Centennial is in search of a new boys basketball coach after Terry Johnson stepped down following just one season citing family circumstances beyond his control, cited a press release sent from Centennial athletic director Wade Privett.
“We are appreciative of everything Coach Johnson has contributed to the program and school during his time here,” Privett said in the release. “We are disappointed to see him go, but wish him well moving forward. We have already begun the search for his replacement and plan to pick up right where he is leaving off.”
Johnson coached Centennial to an 8-17 record in 2014, falling in the first round District 11-AAA tournament (47-23) to Independence.
