Tampa Bay Tech’s Deon Cain announces his commitment to Clemson.

Tampa, Florida — Deon Cain is the latest Tampa Bay area product to elect to take his skills to Death Valley. The electrifying wide receiver/athlete will charge down the hill at Clemson next season.

The former Tampa Bay Tech wide out showed just explosive he can be in the U.S. Army All-American game. Among the nation’s elite, Cain threw for one touchdown and caught another.

At 6’1″ and 195 lbs., Cain has shown blazing speed, clocked with a 4.40 40-yard dash time. As far as where he ranks on the national recruiting position, some scouts say he’s anywhere between #7 and the #1 overall wide receiving recruit in the country.

Cain will join fellow Tampa Bay class of 2015 recruit Ray-Ray McLoud III from Sickles High at Clemson. Last year, the Tigers grabbed Tampa Bay area product and ACC All-Freshman team wide receiver Aratvis Scott from East Lake.
