Nick Thomas continued his torrid start to the season on Wednesday.

Thomas, a senior, had four more hits — a double and three singles — as Sheridan rolled to a 6-1 win against visiting Morgan in the Muskingum Valley League.

Mike Gittings and Ross Holbrook added two singles for the Generals (2-1, 2-0 MVL), with Holbrook also contributing a pair of RBIs.

Thomas also had a key run-scoring double in a win against Philo on Monday.

Sheridan took a 4-0 lead after a three-run third in which it loaded the bases with no outs, got a run-scoring hit from Holbrook and sent two runs home with a passed ball and a groundout, respectively.

The Raiders (1-1 MVL) never solved the arm brilliance of Colton Abram, who took a shutout into the seventh. He struck out nine and walked four, while allowing five hits.

Brady Weaver singled twice, Mason Edgell had a double and plated a run with a sacrifice fly and Cole Earich doubled for Morgan.
