The Dallas Cowboys have won one game this season at the magnificent AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
Three high schools teams have won twice as many games — Allen, Lone Star (Frisco) and Wylie — according to Avi Zaleon of the Dallas Morning News. Zaleon writes that he was inspired by this tweet:
With five playoff games scheduled for Friday and Saturday at AT&T, a couple of other programs could join the list. Allen, Lone Star and Wylie are among the teams playing.
The Cowboys’ lone home victory this season came in Week 1 against the New York Giants and they have home games remaining against the New York Jets and Washington Redskins. The game against the Jets on Dec. 19 is actually what forced the UIL, Texas’ governing body for high school sports, to move the state finals to Houston. Good thing for the Cowboys.
