ThunderRidge advances to 5A state championship

BOULDER – ThunderRidge beat Monarch 46-31 Thursday night to land a spot in the 5A state championship game.

Both teams struggled early as the Grizzlies took an 18-14 lead into the half, but ThunderRidge slowly got things going in the second half and were able to hold off the Coyotes.

Taylor Rusk finished with 12 points and 11 rebounds and Jaz’Myne Snipes added 14 points and 8 rebounds.

ThunderRidge will face Broomfield in the state title game at the Coors Events Center in Boulder on Saturday at 3 p.m.
