Bloomfield Hills 9, Southfield Lathrup 8: Augie Lessins pitched all seven innings with four strikeouts, allowing seven hits and three walks for Bloomfield Hills (24-7). Christian Jaworski went 2-for-4 with two RBIs and Brendon Till went 2-for-3 with a walk and one RBI for Bloomfield Hills (24-7). Southfield Lathrup is 15-4.
Livonia Clarenceville 5, Huron Valley Lutheran 4: Justin Kelley was 3-for-4 and delivered the game-winning hit in the victory for Clarenceville. Other players that contributed offensively were Nick Bisaro, Ronnie Topolewski, Jayson Harris, Kam MacIver and Matt Drain, who each had a hit apiece.
Melvindale AB&T 15, Detroit University Prep Science and Math 0: ABT improved to 23-4 overall and 14-2 in the Metro Athletic conference while University Prep fell to 5-8 overall and 4-8 in conference. ABT clinched the league title with the victory. For ABT, Curtis Berome pitched four scoreless innings and struck out eight while Cliff Pope went 3-3 with three RBI and Devin Paduchowski went 2-3 with three RBI as well. For University Prep, Byron McCants went 2-2 with a triple.
Utica Ford 3, Pontiac Notre Dame Prep 2: (GAME ONE) Pierce Banks went 2-for-4 and had the RBI single at the top of the seventh, sealing the win for Utica Ford. Matt Bur went 3-for-3 with a walk and two runs scored; and Luke Schilling went 2-for-3 with one RBI and a walk for Notre Dame Prep (19-12-1).
Pontiac Notre Dame Prep 4, Utica Ford 1 : (GAME TWO) Adam Burnick pitched six and a third innings with eight strike outs, allowing four hits and seven walks for Pontiac Notre Dame Prep (20-12-1). Joey Agro went 3-for-4 with one run scored; and Brett Piper hit the RBI single in the fifth that gave Notre Dame Prep the win.
Detroit Henry Ford 14, Detroit Central 8: C’ance Buskin pitched a complete game with three stike outs, allowing five hits and three walks for Detroit Henry Ford (4-4-1). Buskin also went 3-for-4 with two RBIs and three runs scored; Niema Jennings went 4-for-4 with two RBIs and two runs scored; and Destiny Williams went 3-for-4 with three RBIs.
Harrison Twp. L’Anse Creuse 2, Warren Cousino 1: Megan Fedolak had nine strikeouts and allowed only three hits over seven innings in the victory for L’Anse Creuse (22-10). She also had three hits, including the game-winning two-RBI triple in the bottom of the seventh. Francesca Ortisi also had three hits and scored the game-winning run after singling with one out in the seventh.
Troy 7, West Bloomfield 0 in five innings (Game One) – Carlie Sebastian threw five innings, allowed two hits and struck out five in the game one victory for Troy (20-9 overall). On offense, Julia Calnen went 2-3 with two doubles and four RBI while Caroline Morton went 2-3 with two RBI.
Troy 6, West Bloomfield 4 (Game Two) – Shelby Mastrovito allowed two earned runs, seven hits and struck out one in the game two victory for Troy. As for the hitters, Julia Calnen was 2-3 with 3 RBI and Caroline Morton was 2-4 with one run batted in. Additionally, Maggie Bohr was 2-4 in both games.
Woodhaven 6, Allen Park 3: Bri Charron went 2-for-4 with two RBIs; Emma Sikina went 3-for-3, including a double, with one RBI; Lilly Parsha went 2-for-4, including a double, with two RBIs; and Macey Wilson had the winning double, driving in two RBIs for Woodhaven (23-13). Charron was also the winning pitcher for Woodhaven, pitching all seven innings.
Redford Union 5, Romulus 0: Maggie Osowski scored four goals and Erin Miley scored once in the victory for Union.
Wixom St. Catherine 6, Plymouth Christian Academy 1: Mary Herrmann and Gabby Green each scored two goals while Jenna Rogers and Alyssa Schaller each added a goal in the victory for St. Catherine. St. Catherine goalie Sophia Ivezaj had seven saves on the afternoon.
Grosse Pointe North 13, Farmington 7: Jack Rieth had three goals and two assists; Andrew Tomasi had two goals and one assist; Will Colborn added two goals; Richie Filipelli had one goal and two assists; Peter Lundy and Max Peyton had one goal and one assist each; and Hugh Anderson, Max Yoshida and Nick Soave all chipped in with one goal for Grosse Pointe North.
