FALLS TOWNSHIP – Reagan Tom drilled the go-ahead, three-run homer in the seventh inning, as visiting Philo rallied past West Muskingum 7-4 in the MVL Thursday.
The Tornadoes (0-12, 0-8) led 1-0 after the first inning, but Philo (6-5, 5-3) answered with two in the third.
The game remained that way until the sixth when Jena Maxwell connected for a two-run homer in a three-run sixth to give West a 4-2 lead.
Tom’s blast and Charlea Revennaugh’s RBI double highlighted a five-run seventh for Philo.
Tom earned the win, scattering six hits with eight strikeouts and one walk in a complete game, and Revennaugh added a single.
Lyndzie Lauvray pitched into the seventh to take the loss. She gave up six runs on eight hits with three strikeouts and two walks and Ally MacLaine had two singles for the Tornado offense.
