Oshkosh High School Invitational — Girls Small Schools: The St. Mary’s Springs girls track and field team took fifth at Tuesday’s Oshkosh High School Invitational — Girls Small Schools at Kolf Center in Oshkosh.

The Ledgers finished with 29 points as a team. Freedom and Kiel tied for first with 48 points apiece.

Springs’ Melanie Schneider had a tremendous day for the Ledgers, winning the 400-meter dash and long jump. Schneider timed in at 1:00.49 in the 400 and jumped 16 feet, 6.75 inches in the long jump.

Schneider was also fifth in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:31.56.

Winnebago Lutheran’s Rachel Bock was fourth in the long jump with a 16-01.00.

Springs’ Anja Smith took fifth in the triple jump with a jump of 32-03.75. Lomira’s Layla Alberts was ninth.

Mayville’s Taylor Mangan and Winnebago Lutheran’s Britt Becker tied for ninth in the pole vault.
