Winnebago Lutheran quad: The St. Mary’s Springs boys track and field team finished first at a quad hosted by Winnebago Lutheran on Tuesday.

The Ledgers finished with 68.5 points, beating out Winnebago Lutheran’s 56 points. Mayville finished with 45 and Lomira had 16.5.

For Springs, Alan Burkart (400-meter dash, 800-meter run), Jake Butzen (1,600-meter run), Spencer Starks (3,200-meter run), Austin Feyen (shot put), Max Wuest (discus throw) and Blake Lamb (long jump) all earned victories.

Matthew Tadych (110-meter hurdles, 300-meter hurdles, high jump), James Huey (triple jump) and the 4X400-meter relay earned wins for Winnebago Lutheran. Mayville’s Brandon Poellot (100-meter dash), Andrew Nothem (pole vault) and the 4X100, 4X200 and 4X800-meter relays picked up victories for the Cardinals.

Lomira’s Jackson Ringle won the 200-meter dash.

On the girls side, Mayville won the quad with 69 points. St. Mary’s Springs finished second with 57 points, while Winnebago Lutheran ended up with 36.5 and Lomira had 23.5.

For Mayville, Amy Chen (100-meter dash, long jump), Taylor Mangan (400-meter dash) and all four relay teams picked up wins. Melanie Schneider (200-meter dash), Liz Bohn (800-meter run, triple jump), Anja Smith (100-meter hurdles, 300-meter hurdles, high jump) and Lizzy Leichtle (shot put, discus throw) took first for St. Mary’s Springs.

Winnebago Lutheran’s Sarah Niehueser (3,200-meter run) and Brittany Becker (pole vault) and Lomira’s Kaytlin Kuczkowski (1,600-meter run) were victorious as well.
