Led by Nora Keller’s two first place finishes, the Lourdes girls track and field team captured the Trailways Conference Tournament, which was held at Princeton High School.
Keller won the 1,600 (5 minutes, 13.93 seconds) and the 3,200 (11:40.34) while taking second in the 800 (2:25.04).
The girls finished with 144 points, beating Markesan (92) by a large margin. The boys finished third out of 15 teams, finishing with 73 points. They trailed Dodgeland (110) and Princeton/Green Lake (128).
Valley Christian was also at the meet and the girls were last with one point while the boys were ninth with 34 points.
The girls also got a second place finish from Kelsey Schwochert in the 100-hurdles (17.24) while the 1,600 and 3,200 relays captured conference titles.
The Lourdes boys were led by Lucas Weber, who also won two events. He took the 1,600 (4:37.09) and 3,200 (10:10.03). Christian Pecore and Eric Washkovick added seconds in the 200 (23.59) and discus (144-00).
Valley Christian was led by Wesley Schiek, who was second in the 3,200 (10:24.45) and fifth in the 1,600 (4:48.73) while Ryan Van Maanen was second in the 110-hurdles (16.21).
