ONEIDA — The Green Bay Notre Dame girls golf team won a WIAA sectional title for a 12th straight year on Tuesday at Thornberry Creek.

The host Tritons edged Green Bay Preble by four strokes to claim the Division 1 sectional championship. Senior Elizabeth Bobinski carded a 78 to lead Notre Dame with a third-place individual finish.

Preble had a three-stroke advantage over De Pere for second place to qualify for its first state appearance since 2007.

Meanwhile, De Pere senior Megan Growt carded a 5-over par 77 to tie for individual medalist honors and advance to state for the fourth time in her career.

The top two teams and top three individuals from nonqualifying teams advance to the WIAA state meet, which takes place Monday and Tuesday at University Ridge in Madison.
