Clarenceville High School is unbeaten in boys track and field through two dual meets, following its 73-55 win over Dearborn Heights Robichaud on Tuesday.

Daveon Burnett was a double winner in the hurdles for the Trojans. He did the 110-meter high hurdles in 18.9 seconds and the 300 intermediates in 48.2.

Clarenceville won every individual race except the two dashes. Jonathan Harris ran the 400 in 53.4, Elijah Spens the 800 (2:23), Cam Fyffe the 1,600 (5:17.1) and Mitch Kubiak the 3,200 (11:57.6).

The Trojans had one winner in the field events, that being Jonathan Hogan in the discus with a throw of 116 feet.

They also won three of the four relays. Harris, Cody Cardoza, Nic Ballard and Elijah Bean won the 800 with a time of 1:39.6.

Kyle Nolan and Fyffe teamed up with Cardoza and Harris in the 1,600 relay (3:44.8), Spens and Jake Devos Roy in the 3,200 (10:44).

James Hill and Hogan were double winners in Clarenceville’s season-opening win over Dearborn Heights Annapolis, 83-44.

Hogan won both throwing events, hitting 108-1 in the discus and 41-93/4 in the shot put. Hill went 11.7 in the 100 dash and 24.7 in the 200.

Sanjay Varmon won the high hurdles (19.8), Harris the 400 sprint (52.2), Kubiak the 3,200 run (12:09.2) and Bean the long jump (18-5).

The Trojans also won the 3,200 (9:16.6), 800 (1:37.4), 1,600 (3:43.1) and 400 (47.7) relays.

Girls results

Clarenceville is 0-2 with losses to Robichaud (60-27) and Annapolis (87-18). Staneisha Chambers won the throws in both meets.

She threw the discus 76-6 and the shot put 29-0 in the Robichaud meet. She reached 100-9 and 27-5 in the other, respectively.

Delanie MacRae won the 100 hurdles (19.8) and was second in the 300 hurdles (1:00.7) in the Annapolis meet.

The Trojans had second places from Asha Whittaker in the 100 and 200, Andrea Hill in the discus and MacRae in the 300 hurdles against Robichaud.
