Hey this is Troy back with another player blog keeping you guys updated on what’s going on in my life right now. Thanks for tuning in!
Right now I’m focused on my season and things are going pretty well. We just beat a team that’s supposed to be the No. 2 team in our conference so, pretty much, we’ve got the No. 1 spot right now.
We’ve lost about three games in different tournaments that we’ve played in, but we haven’t lost in our conference.
I’m averaging 17 points, seven assists and four steals a game and I feel like I’ve been doing a lot better with my assertiveness and my leadership. That’s something that I wanted to focus on this season and I can tell that it’s gotten better.
As for my recruitment, schools keep in touch with my dad for the most part.
He’s been hearing more and more from Kentucky and he’s heard from Louisville too, but that’s it for now. He just basically tells me when they call and that’s it. I try not to get over-excited with stuff like that because that stuff is so far off for me. I just want to focus on getting better every day; I know people say that all the time, but it’s something that I really mean.
I’m doing pretty well in school too; I think I’m gonna end this quarter with like a 3.7 so that’s pretty good!
I just did a paper on Michael Jordan from a first-person point of view — just how he went to North Carolina, won all of these different awards and stayed humble and things like that. It was a cool paper to write and I got a 92 on it!
Before I go I want to give my man Carlton Bragg a shoutout on his commitment to Kansas. He’s gonna do big things there!
And shoutout to my sister, Jada, she and Kansas will be playing Baylor on Jan. 17 so I’ll definitely be watching to support her on that one! You guys should too!
OK, everybody I’m gonna get ready to get outta here, but thank you for tuning in!
Hopefully you’ll be back for more soon!
