Molly Escaravage and Ashley Weidlich took turns scoring Wednesday night for the Tuscola girls soccer team.
The Mountaineers are running away with the Western North Carolina Athletic Conference championship, one lopsided win after another.
Escaravage put away five goals, while Weidlich found the back of the net four times in a 9-0 mercy rule win over visiting West Henderson.
Weidlich got things started in the fourth minute for the Mountaineers (9-3, 6-0) and Escaravage’s final goal in the 43rd minute complete the mercy-rule win. Tuscola has now outscored WNCAC opponents, 50-3, this spring.
Cassidy Pate Moore had two assists Wednesday in Waynesville. Escaravage, Sydney Turner, Mary Rachel Carter, Lizzie Darguzas and Sierra DiLenno dished out one apiece.
The Mountaineers are scheduled to play a nonconference game at Hendersonville on Thursday night.
