The 33rd Twin State Basketball Classic marks a return to Vermont soil in next weekend’s doubleheader tilt at Essex High School.
The Vermont-New Hampshire series, which resumed in 2013 following a three-year hiatus, opens with the girls game at 6 p.m. Saturday. The boys contest is set for a 7:30 start time.
Pitting recently graduated high school seniors against each other, New Hampshire owns the edge in the all-time series with matching 19-13 records against Vermont. A year ago, the states split, with the Vermont girls claiming a win.
