Four-star guard Tyler Dorsey commits to Oregon

By

Maranatha (Pasadena, Calif.) shooting guard Tyler Dorsey ended his recruitment Monday and took to Twitter to announce his commitment to Oregon over Connecticut, Arizona State, California, Kansas and Colorado.

Dorsey, a four-star guard who is ranked No. 38 overall in the ESPN 100, originally committed to Arizona but after five months as a Wildcat he decided to reopen his recruitment last June.

Dorsey, one of the most gifted scorers in the country, is averaging 34 points a game for Maranatha this season and has had seven games where he’s scored 40 points or more.

He’ll join Everett (Lansing, Mich.) forward Trevor Manuel and Mayfair (Lakewood, Calif.) point guard Kendall Small to form the Ducks 2015 recruiting class thus far.

Here’s what the Ducks are getting in Dorsey.
