Entering the week, six of the 11 of USA players in the Nike Hoop Summit had not decided what college they will play for next season. That number is down to five.
Caleb Swanigan announced on Twitter Friday that he will play for the Michigan State Spartans next season.

The 6-foot-9, 270-pound forward had narrowed his choices down to Arizona, Cal, Chicago State, Duke, Kentucky, Michigan State and Purdue.
Swanigan, the No. 8 national prospect according to ESPN, becomes the headliner of Tom Izzo’s recruiting class that will hope to lead the Spartans back to the Final Four. No. 16 prospect Deyonta Davis and No. 67 prospect Matt McQuaid already committed to Michigan State.
Now, Swanigan can focus on the game on Saturday when the USA takes on the World Team at noon at Moda Center.
The USA holds a 12-5 record in the annual game, including a 84-73 win last year. This year’s game will be televised on ESPN2.
