Height: 5-foot-8
Weight: 120 pounds

Athletic achievement: He raced to 10th place at the national Foot Locker Cross Country Championships this past season, earning All-American honors with a time of 15:27. The state’s returning Gatorade Boys Cross Country Runner of the Year, Mantz broke the tape at the Bob Firman Invitational, the Aggie Invitational, the Highland Invitational and the Region V championships. He took second at the Class 4A state championships, in 15:18.9, and finished fifth at the Foot Locker West Regional championships.

Academic excellence: Mantz has maintained a 4.0 GPA.

Exemplary character: Also a talented musician, Mantz has participated in multiple community service initiatives as an Eagle Scout with the Boy Scouts of America.


“Conner has an incredible work ethic and a desire to be the best,” said Sky View coach Kyle Wright. “He’s also a great leader at practice, during school hours and in life.”

THE FUTURE: Mantz remains undecided upon a collegiate destination.
