The legend of Cynthia Brown continues to grow.
A week after she became the first girl in Virginia to throw a touchdown pass, on a fake field goal conversion that totaled 52 yards, she connected on three field goals in Wilson’s narrow 15-14 victory against Granby. One of those kicks was also the game-winner in the final minute of the game.
Brown helped Wilson take advantage of a botched chance for Granby to kill off the game, with the Comets bumbling a victory snap and turning the ball over to Wilson. Brown was then all too happy to take advantage, connecting on a field goal attempt from more than 30 yards for the win.
All in a day’s work for a female football hero in Virginia.
