STORRS, Conn. – Sarah MacDonnell scored the game-winning goal with 5:09 left in the third period to lift Connecticut past the University of Vermont women’s hockey team 4-3 on Sunday afternoon.
Vermont, who had a 2-0 lead in the first period, got goals from Bridget Baker, MacKenzie MacNeil and Brittany Zuback.
Molly Depew stopped 32 shots in a losing effort for the Catamounts, who fall to 10-12-1 overall and 1-9 in Hockey East.
Emily Snodgrass, Kayla Campero and Caitlin Hewes also scored for the Huskies (6-11-6, 2-5-3) and Annie Belanger made 37 saves.
• Elmira 5, Norwich 3: Norwich had its nine-game winning streak snapped by Elmira in a battle of top three ranked teams.
Rachel Bellio, Kahnekaró:roks McComber and Liz Gemmiti scored for the Cadets (9-2-1, 6-0).

• Tufts 57, Middlebury 37: Haley Kanner had 19 points to help Tufts to a win over host Middlebury in NESCAC action.
Rachel Crews had 14 points to lead Middlebury (8-5, 1-1)
MEN’S COLLEGE BASKETBALL
• Tufts 80, Middlebury 83: Middlebury dropped its second NESCAC contest in three days as the Panthers fell on the road to Tufts.
Tarik Smith scored 20 points and Tom Palleschi added 18 to lead the Jumbos (5-7, 1-0).
Dylan Sinnickson led the Panthers (9-2, 0-2) with a game-high 25 points.
HIGH SCHOOL GIRLS HOCKEY
• Mount Mansfield 5, Harwood 1: Anna Burke scored two goals in the first period to help Mount Mansfield earn a win over host Harwood.
Molly Burke added two goals and an assist for the Cougars (6-4), while Alana Scott tallied in the third period. Fiona Dulude made seven stops to earn the win.
DAnielle Kuiper scored the lone goal for the Highlanders (1-9-1) and Alison Yandow had 29 saves.
