Here’s the deal: Anytime a player can complete a 360-degree dunk it’s an achievement worth recognition. Pulling it off in a game requires the bright brush of a highlighter pen. And when that player is just 14-years-old? Then you can go ahead and let your jaw drop to the floor.
Wow. There’s not much else to say about the latest exploits from eighth grader Scottie Lewis. Competing at the 2015 Atlantic City Showcase, Lewis put up a series of reel-worthy highlights. He tossed down a terrific alley oop. He found himself open on the break and soared in for a dunk from near Jordan lengths. And, perhaps most impressively, he completed a 360 slam after being the lucky beneficiary of a loose ball.
Lewis isn’t coming from nowhere. His highlights have been featured on sites across the nation, including this one, and he’s unquestionably one of the top athletic prospects in the Class of 2019.
For now, everyone just wants to take in Lewis at his brightest and best. To this point, that appears to be almost any time he walks on the court.
