This video was aptly titled “Two point conversion the hard way” on YouTube, and there are few monikers that could be more fitting.
During Colleyville-Heritage’s recent matchup against Arlington Bowie, a Bowie defender got his hands on a Heritage extra point attempt following a touchdown. That should have ended the play, but it didn’t thanks to the quick thinking of Reid Harrison-Ducros, a Heritage cornerback who also lines up on the squad’s special teams units. Harrison-Ducros scooped up the loose ball, deftly evaded the Bowie defenders chasing him down and then lofted a prayer toward the end zone.
Incredibly the pass landed right in the bread basket of a free Heritage special teamer on the goal line, who traipsed in untouched for a dramatic two-point conversion.
It was a remarkable play from a standout player ticketed for a future at Boise State.
