Whether it was intentional or not, this was awesome.
After returning a 69-yard fumble return for a touchdown, Homewood-Flossmoor (Ill.) set up for what would be one of the longest onside kicks you’ll ever see.
The kickoff was high and appeared to be intentionally short, and then took a massive bounce backwards, right into the hands of Flossmoor’s Devon Booth, who was hustling down the field towards the ball.
The Lincoln-Way East (Frankfort, Ill.) return team didn’t call for a fair catch, nor did they make a real push for the ball, and the Vikings were there to take advantage.
Homewood-Flossmoor would go on to win, 28-3.
