We don’t have an encyclopedic knowledge of wrestling moves, but we’re going to go ahead and say that this inventive escape belongs in the all-time pantheon.
The young man you see pulling off the athletic jedi mind trick you see above is Jaydin Clayton, a three-time defending state wrestling champion for Tolton High in Missouri. The future Missouri Tiger wrestler has never lost a bout … and he still hasn’t after escaping from a precarious situation with a ridiculous backflip in which he slipped through his unnamed foe’s legs, popped up and then spun him to land a pin.
Up, over and out. Victory Clayton.
Perhaps unsurprisingly, Clayton was handed the MVP award for the meet. Who else would it have been?
More interestingly, will anyone ever knock Clayton off? With moves like that, don’t count on it.
