Earlier this season we brought you a remarkable highlight video of California running back Najee Harris hurdling two different defenders on a single run. In a word, it was impressive. Now the Antioch back has turned heads again, this time by simply refusing to be tackled in a run up the gut and ending up in the end zone.
The highlight you see above comes from Antioch’s 55-37 victory against Liberty, and it helps explain how Antioch cruised to the victory; Harris and his teammates just wanted it more. On a pretty simple run play up the middle, Harris absolutely refused to go down, instead bulling ahead and breaking through a full-fledged defensive wall before sprinting into the Liberty end zone.
That, ladies and gentlemen, is determination.
It’s also a frightening sight when combined with his earlier aerial acrobatics. Harris can beat you by going over the defense, by going through it and certainly by going around it. He has immense speed and power, not to mention his field vision.
That means one thing: come 2017, Alabama fans will have plenty to be excited about while anyone with Alabama on their schedule might even a bit more concerned.
