Dominique Robinson is a heck of an athlete. The Canton McKinley quarterback is a scene stealer, and sometimes a game-stealaer, too. Legendary program Massillon Washington found that out the hard way.
With just 20 second remaining in the team’s annual rivalry game, Robinson dove over the corner and into the end zone with a legitimate front flip, handing his team a 30-28 victory in the final game at Fawcett Stadium, the facility attached to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton.
“I knew I had to recuperate,” Robinson told the Akron Beacon Journal. “When I play, I play for my seniors and I didn’t want to leave them out.”
That quote references a late interception which Robinson gave up that nearly gifted the game to Massillon. Instead, the quarterback was able to rally his team with his own leadership and athleticism, including one of the most memorable touchdowns of 2015.
