Trailing 3-0 to Collins Hill (Suwanee, Ga.) in the Class AAAAAA state quarterfinals, Roswell senior quarterback Quintarius Neely fired a pass intended for a slanting Jayden Comma, but the ball popped up into the end zone, where diving senior wideout Kendrick Jackson came down with a go-ahead touchdown.
Jackson’s catch helped Roswell survive a 17-10 scare. The Cougars (13-0) have beaten opponents by an average of 35 points this season and hadn’t previously played a game decided by fewer than three scores.
