Terrance Ferguson has made a legitimate case as the nation’s top prep dunker in the (very) recent past. Here’s more proof, along with a pair of other terrific dunkers from Ferguson’s high school team, Prime Prep Academy.
The Prime Prep trio of Ferguson, Baylor commit Mark Vital and Billy Preston were the featured dunkers in a recent Team Flight Brothers session.
Vital and Preston were both impressive with a series of dunks that included leap-overs and alley-oops, but they couldn’t compete with Ferguson, who employed both his supreme long jumping skills and his athleticism around the hoop to deliver a series of jaw dropping slams.
There were plenty of Michael Jordan-esque long distance slams, as well as some tricky up and under moves and even a brief assist off the side of the backboard. All were splendid, and fitting for a player who many feel is the best prep dunker not named Kwe Parker in recent years.
