OLIVIA COTTOM, HOLT SOFTBALL – The junior was one of the top performers while helping the Rams go 3-0 at the East Lansing Tournament. She had a triple and three RBIs in a win over DeWitt and was 3 for 4 with a triple against Waverly. Cottom also had multi-hit games while contributing to doubleheader sweeps of DeWitt and Owosso.
ASHLEY MEDCOFF, LESLIE TENNIS – Helped Leslie edge the host Greyhounds to win the Eaton Rapids Invitational over the weekend. She posted a straight sets victory at No. 1 singles over Gabby Jones in the title match. Medcoff also won in straight sets at No. 1 singles while helping Leslie to a 7-1 win over Onsted on Wednesday.
BLAINE MILHEIM, EATON RAPIDS BASEBALL – Contributed to doubleheader victories over Everett, Lakewood and Holt. Milheim picked up a pitching win and had a game with two hits and two runs against Everett. He was 2-for-2 with two runs and two RBIs to aid a twinbill sweep of Lakewood. Milheim had a game with two hits and two runs against Holt.
QADIR MUHAMMAD, WAVERLY BOYS TRACK – The senior won the 200 and 400 and was part of the winning 800 and 1,600 relay teams to help the Warriors win the Fowler Invitational on Saturday. Muhammad won the 400 in 51.48 seconds and the 200 in 23.57 seconds while helping Waverly finish 23 points ahead of runner-up Pewamo-Westphalia.
