Walnut Hills 2015 combo guard MaCio Teague has committed to play at Montverde Academy for post graduate next season.
Teague, one of the area’s top players in the 2015 class, has several scholarship offers throughout the recruiting process including Akron, UNC Asheville, Eastern Kentucky, Alcorn State, Liberty, San Jose State, Seton Hall, Oakland, Winthrop, Bryant University and Yale.
Teague, named Associated Press Division I second-team all-state and first-team all-district, averaged 25.7 points, 7.4 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.8 steals this past season for the Eagles (19-6).
Teague scored a single-game school record 51 points in a win over Piqua at the Flyin’ to the Hoop in Kettering this past January.
Montverde Academy, located in Montverde, Fla., won its third consecutive high school national title this season.
