The Cotter Warriors posted another run-rule victory, taking a 17-3, five-inning win over the Marshall Bobcats on Friday night in a nonconference game at Warrior Field.
The Warriors — 9-1 overall and 6-0 in league play — face Norfork on Tuesday and Lead Hill on Thursday in nonconference games before playing their next 3A-1 East contest, which will be a showdown against the other unbeaten team in the league, the Flippin Bobcats, on Friday.
The Warriors pounded out 16 hits against Marshall, led by Ryan Roberts, who went 4 for 4 with a double and four runs scored.
Maddux Adams was 3 for 4, and Brett Walker, Landon Martin and Shawn White each went 2 for 4 for Cotter, which scored four times in the first, five in the second, three in the third and five in the fourth.
Colton Neal earned the win on the mound, striking out seven over five innings. The right-hander allowed just three hits and one earned run.
