Waupaca took home two trophies from the Waupaca County Track and Field Meet in New London on Saturday, winning the boys’ team title with 173 points and the girls’ title with 125 points.
Clintonville finished as the runner-up in both meets, with 134 points in the boys’ meet and 119 in the girls’ meet.
The Comets’ Tatiana Sotka won the 100- and 200-meter dashes and ran the anchor leg on the Comets’ first-place 1,600-meter relay team.
Clintonville had Ali Johnson finish first in the 800 and 1,600 runs and also win the high jump and run the anchor leg on the Truckers’ first-place 3,200-meter relay team.
In the boys’ meet, Waupaca’s Christian Overman won both the 110- and 300-meter hurdles. The Comets’ Mitchell Rotta also won two individual events, taking first in the 1,600- and 3,200-meter runs.
