Jack Smith, Mercer Island, baseball. Smith drove in seven runs off three doubles against Sammamish, and he also had a two run double against Interlake.

Brendan Illies, Puyallup, baseball. The North Carolina commit hit two walk-off singles this week: One Monday against Emerald Ridge, and again Tuesday against Rogers to secure the Vikings’ eighth consecutive SPSL South title. Illies also had an impressive game against Graham-Kapowsin, going 3-for-4 with an RBI and a stolen base.

Alyson Matriotti, Archbishop Murphy, softball. Her week just kept getting better. Monday, Matriotti went 3-for-3 with a triple and a double and Wednesday she was 3-for-4 (two RBI and another triple). Thursday was the culmination of her big week as Matriotti hit for the cycle, going 4-for-4 with five RBI.

Shelby Jeffries, Sultan, softball. In the same game that Matriotti hit for the cycle, Jeffries was just a triple away. She went 4-for-4 with a home run in Sultan’s 14-6 loss to Archbishop Murphy.

Marianne Li, Newport, golf. Li shot 2-under in the Lady Knights’ nine-hole match at Newcastle Tuesday. Her solid day — along with three teammates tying for second place with 42 — propelled Newport to a win over Redmond.
