The Generals (6-0) will have homefield advantage throughout the first two rounds of the AISA playoffs. It’s the first time ACA has won a region championship since the AISA went to its current playoff format in 2002.

Abbeville Christian hosted playoff games — as a No. 2 seed — in 2004, 2013 and 2014. Last year, the Generals went on to win the AISA Class A championship.

Maplesville wrapped up an AHSAA state playoff berth. While the Red Devils were beating Northview (Fla.) 32-0, Keith lost 20-16 to A.L. Johnson.

The meant that Maplesville (4-1) sealed a top-4 spot in Class 1A, Region 4.

The Red Devils, the defending 1A champions, will make their 12th straight playoff appearance next month. Maplesville has reached the postseason 31 times in 32 years.
