Colin Wenzel and Kyle Balmer scored two goals and two assists each to lead host Maine-Endwell to a 7-2 victory over Chenango Forks in a Broome County High School Hockey Association game.
M-E is the only undefeated team left in the league (3-0-3).
Wenzel opened the scoring 40 seconds into play, finishing a pass from Hunter Gorick. M-E led 6-0 after the first two periods.
Maine-Endwell swapped out goalkeeper Chris McVannan for freshman Tyler Leniek eight minutes into the second. Leniek stopped seven of nine shots in his first game of the season. McVannan saved all eight shots he faced.
Kieran Horton had two third-period goals for Chenango Forks (0-6-0) before M-E added a final tally with 52 seconds left.
Hannah Strong knocked down five 3-pointers on the way to 20 points, as Seton Catholic Central came from behind to defeat Syracuse-area opponent Vernon-Verona-Sherrill, 63-57 in a non-league game on Saturday.
Ava McCann matched Strong with five triples and finished with 17 points, and Julia Hauer added 15 for the Saints, who outscored VVS 21-9 in the fourth quarter.
Katelyn Reader led the way with 17 points and Alexa Kizer added 16 for the Red Devils.
