Westview quarterback Austin Brisbee prepares to take a snap in a game against Jesuit.

Westview quarterback Austin Brisbee announced on Twitter Friday afternoon that he has committed to play football at Western Oregon University.

Brisbee was a two-time Metro League Offensive Player of the Year. He threw for 35 touchdowns and over 3,000 yards while completing 65 percent of his passes last season.

The 6-foot-3, 180-pound quarterback led Westview to one of the school’s most accomplished seasons. The Wildcats averaged 52 points per game while compiling an 8-2 record, a second place finish in the Metro League, and a berth in the state playoffs.

Brisbee joins a Western Oregon team that finished 6-5 and tied for second place in the NCAA Division II Great Northwest Athletic Conference. The Wolves graduate quarterbacks Ryan Bergman and Trey Shimabukuro, who combined to take every snap last season.
