An assistant football coach for the No. 5 ranked team in the USA TODAY High School Sports Super 25, Colquitt County, was ejected for fighting with a member of the sideline chain gang during a game at Lee County. Rivals.com Southeast Recruiting Analyst Woody Wommack was on the scene and captured the entire scene, eventually leading to Colquitt assistant Shawn Sutton being marched directly off the field while escorted by police officers.

There’s been no immediate update on Sutton’s potential freedom in Lee County. Here’s hoping everything gets sorted out in time for him to return with his team, whether he has to come back and face charges in Lee County later or not.
