Favorite sports memory: My favorite high school sports memory was qualifying for state in high jump my sophomore year. Competing with such great athletes at the state meet was an experience I will never forget. Qualifying for state gave me something to look forward to and work towards each year of my high school career.
Advice to an athlete: An important piece of advice I would give to aspiring high school athletes is to always give 100 percent. You never know when your last game or practice will be, so always play with heart and try your best. One day you will be done playing sports forever, so make your high school years count.
Inspiration: During my senior year I went through six months of rehab due to knee surgery, causing me to miss volleyball and most of basketball. After a ton of hard work and refusing to give up, I returned to sports a stronger athlete than ever before. This taught me the value of hard work and determination.
College plans: I will be playing volleyball at St. Cloud State University in Minnesota. I plan on majoring in kinesiology and hope to one day be a physical therapist.
