Mitch McFarlane’s 21 points weren’t enough for Winnebago Lutheran as the Vikings dropped to 0-2 on the season following a 75-59 loss to Valders in nonconference boys basketball action on Monday night.

Mason Herkstroeter chipped in 12 points for Winnebago Lutheran, which shot just 37 percent from the field and were outrebounded 32-17.

Alex Schueler and Luke Goedeke each scored 20 points for Valders (3-0), which led 33-22 at halftime.
