Hayesville volleyball is making life hard on the rest of the Smoky Mountain Conference.

The Yellow Jackets improved to 12-1 overall and remained unbeaten in the Smoky Mountain Conference with their seventh league win Thursday night at home.

Whitney Baldwin led the way with 11 kills, five aces and two blocks in a 3-1 victory over Swain County (24-26, 25-11, 25-20 and 25-17).

Setter Maddie Payne dished out 26 assists to go along with nine digs and four kills. Lexie Patterson added six aces, five kills and four blocks. Kimonta Lloyd had seven blocks and three kills.

Hayesville’s only loss came to Pisgah in its season opener (3-1 on Aug. 20). The next match for the Yellow Jackets is Tuesday at Hiwassee Dam.
