The Hayesville girls basketball team is rallying around a star player’s mother as she battles cancer for the second time.

The Yellow Jackets are selling “Believe” bracelets at a cost of $2 each. Proceeds will benefit Mel Thompson, who is the mother of senior Amanda Thompson.

A flyer to promote the bracelets features the following call to action: “It’s Time to Swarm Cancer.”

The bracelets may be purchased through any member of the Hayesville basketball team or by contacting Amy Trout at (828) 389-6532.
