Yorktown won the Delaware County girls golf championship on Saturday, shooting 360 at Muncie Elks Country Club to take the crown by 59 strokes. The Tigers’ Reece Malapit shot 73 to earn medalist honors.
Malapit was the runaway medalist, as her teammate Holly Haynes shot 90 to finish second overall. Delta’s Ashley Powell shot 91 to finish third, and she guided the Eagles to a 419 team score and a second-place finish. Yorktown’s Maddy Kline shot 95 to finish fourth, and Daleville’s Bailey Teague shot 96 to round out the top five.
Wapahani took third as a team, shooting 484. Daleville was fourth at 497, and Wes-Del finished fifth with a team score of 525.
