USA TODAY High School Sports is proud to announce the American Family Insurance ALL-USA Alabama Boys Basketball Team. Players were selected based on their athletic achievements from the 2015-16 season.

COACH OF THE YEAR

Phillip Murphy, McGill-Toolen (Mobile)
Under Murphy’s guidance, McGill-Toolen rolled to a 29-6 record and the Class 7A state title, highlighted by a 79-75 win over Central in the state final.

FIRST TEAM

Player of the Year
Josh Langford, G, Madison Academy (Madison), 6-6/200, Sr.
Langford, a Michigan State signee, helped Madison Academy to the Class 3A state title while averaging 24.6 points, 6.6 rebounds and 2.3 assists per contest. He is a two-time Gatorade Player of the Year and a 2015-16 American Family Insurance ALL-USA Third Team selection.

John Petty, G/F, J.O. Johnson (Huntsville), 6-5/185, Jr.
The state’s Gatorade Boys Basketball Player of the Year, Petty averaged 19.9 points, 7.3 rebounds and 4.1 assists per game this past season, leading the Jaguars to a 29-5 record and the Class 5A state championship.

Trendon Watford, F, Mountain Brook (Birmingham), 6-7/200, Fr.
Watford produced 23.7 points and 11.5 rebounds per game for a Mountain Brook team that reached the Class 7A regional semifinals.

Alex Reese, F, Pelham, 6-9, /225, Jr.
The junior standout averaged 25.4 points, 12.1 rebounds and two blocks per game for Pelham (18-11), earning a berth in the Class 6A regional semifinals.

Austin Wiley, C, Spain Park (Hoover), 6-10/210, Jr.
Wiley earned First Team All-State honors after a season in which he averaged 27.1 points, 12.1 rebounds and 2.9 blocks per game for a Spain Park team that reached the Class 7A semifinals.
