COACH OF THE YEAR
Lorne Parks, St. Thomas Aquinas (Overland Park)
Parks led the Saints (21-4) to their third state title in school history and the second in three seasons. They capped off the title run with a 14-9 slugfest victory over Shawnee Heights in the Class 5A final.

Riley Pint, P, St. Thomas Aquinas (Overland Park), 6-5/220, Sr.
Armed with a 100-MPH heater, the two-time Gatorade Player of the Year was selected fourth overall by the Colorado Rockies in the MLB Draft, following a senior campaign in which he produced a 5-1 record, a 0.60 ERA and 65 strikeouts in 35 innings. Pint also hit to the tune of a .590 batting average while knocking in 34 runs.
