COACH OF THE YEAR
Chris Binette, Massabesic (Waterboro)
In his first year as head coach at his alma mater, Binette authored a remarkable turnaround. The Mustangs had won eight games in the previous five seasons combined, including a 1-17 campaign in 2015, but Binette guided them to an 18-5 record and the Class AA semifinals, where they fell two points short of the state final. It marked Massabesic’s first postseason appearance—and first season with more than six wins—in 13 years.
