Matt Cook, Warren De La Salle
Cook led Warren De La Salle (28-13) on a thrilling run to the Division I state title, outlasting Saline in the championship game with a 7-6 win.

Tommy Henry, P, Portage Northern, 6-3/165, Sr.
The Gatorade Player of the Year and a future Michigan Wolverine, Henry posted a 5-0 record on the mound with a 1.49 ERA and 55 strikeouts in 37.2 innings. He also produced a .447 average with the bat with 25 runs scored and a .629 on-base percentage for a Portage Northern team that reached the Division I quarterfinals.
