COACH OF THE YEAR
Tony Perkins, Francis Howell (St. Charles)
The longtime Francis Howell coach surpassed the 500-win mark for his coaching career in 2016, including an 8-2 victory over Jefferson City to give the Vikings (29-11) the fourth Class 5A state title of his tenure.

Jake Matheny, C, Westminster Christian (Town and Country), 6-3/190, Sr.
Missouri’s Gatorade Player of the Year paced the greater St. Louis area with 11 home runs, leading Westminster Christian to the Class 4 district final. The son of former Gold-Glove winner and current St. Louis Cardinals manager Mike Matheny, he also batted .414 and knocked in 43 runs.
