USA TODAY High School Sports is proud to announce the 2015-16 American Family Insurance ALL-USA Nevada Girls Basketball Team. Players were selected based on their athletic achievements from the 2015-16 season.

COACH OF THE YEAR

Karen Weitz, Centennial (Las Vegas)
In her 17th year of coaching, Weitz steered Centennial to a 33-1 record, a Division I state championship and a No. 3 ranking in the USA TODAY Super 25 Expert Rankings.

FIRST TEAM

Player of the Year
Samantha Thomas, G/F, Centennial (Las Vegas), 6-0, Jr.
A two-time First Team All-State selection in Michigan before transferring to Centennial before the start of this season, Thomas averaged 15 points and eight rebounds per game this past season while shooting 62 percent from inside the arc, leading the Bulldogs to a 33-1 record and the Division I state title.

Katie Turner, PG, Bishop Manogue (Reno), 5-7, Jr.
The state’s 2015-16 Gatorade Nevada Girls Basketball Player of the Year, Turner averaged 17.9 points, 4.2 steals and 3.3 assists per game to help lead Bishop Manogue to the Division I semifinals.

Mallory McGwire, C, Reno, 6-5, Sr.
A two-time Gatorade Nevada Girls Basketball Player of the Year and Oregon signee, McGwire averaged 15.4 points, 10.9 rebounds and 3.9 blocks per game in helping Reno to the Division I regional final.

Madison Washington, F, Bishop Gorman (Las Vegas), 6-0, Sr.
Washington, an Oregon State commit, averaged 12.2 points and eight rebounds per game to help Bishop Gorman reach the Division I semifinals.

Taylor Turney, G, Liberty (Henderson), 5-8, Sr.
The San Jose State signee averaged 16.6 points and five assists per game this past season, leading Liberty to the state final.
